Andy Barr, Kentucky's "Conservative Republican" Humourist

I really enjoyed this new commercial for Andy "conservative Republican" Barr in his bid for Congress in Kentucky's 6th District.
Andy sternly lectures(an apparent audio dubbing) that; "Career politicians in Washington are bankrupting our country, runaway government spending, trillion dollar bailouts..". All the while ignoring(a very Republican trait) the last eight years of conservative Republican's running the country pretty much the way they wanted. After inheriting a surplus. Anyway here's Andy with blinders on, enjoy:

Jon Stewart Schools Ken Blackwell On Tyranny And Governing

This is also the Ken Blackwell of Ohio's Presidential election 2004 and the strange shenanigans involved in that little mix-up.
Like many Rightwingers he thinks government is fine as long a rightwingers are "governing", but when a Democrat is cleaning house, it's "tyranny" and commy-ism, tell him Jon:

Still Alive? The Photos of Rodney Alcala

NYPD releases over 200 photos belonging to serial killer Rodney Alcala. Do you know any of these people? It's a pretty good bet that at least some of them were murdered by Alcala.

All the images are believed to have been taken by serial killer Rodney Alcala, who is in prison in California for a series of murders there between 1971 and 1979. Some of the photos look like they were taken in isolated places.
More strangeness. Rodney Alcala was on "The Dating Game" in 1978 and is the main suspect in at least one murder even then. Here's the clip.

Video - Teabaggers On Parade

A new drinking game...Instead of rolling your eyes every time they say something crazy or hypocritical take a drink. Pace yourself though. It's like a Monty Python political group.

Kind of reminds me of shows where they go out on the street and ask people at random easy questions about history, geography, etc. Scary stuff.
Now there is one thing I agree wholeheartedly with these video teabaggers about, CNN Sucks! I don't watch CNN(Conservative News Network) either but for completely opposite reasons.

Anyone Miss Dubya? And Some Kentucky Politics

Hell No! Not even a little.
I agree with John Cole.

In Kentucky the politics are picking up. A lot of it is(as always) quite hilarious. Trey Grayson and Rand Paul(yes Ron's son) are trying to out Wingnut each other in the race for retiring old white guy Jim Bunning's Senate seat. Trey Grayson has endorsements on his webpage from(brace yourself) BOTH Rudy Giuliani and "DICK" Dick Cheney. Can Rand Paul beat that? I saw a new Rand commercial today in which he brags that he's been "endorsed" by Sarah Palin.
This is Kentucky after all, so it's probably not a bad move to aim at the Tea-party, Faux News faithful with Sarah-cudda. Of course with me, or any left of wingnut, thinking person an endorsement from Sarah brings a lot of jokes to mind and not much else. On the other side Lt. Guv Daniel "more conservative than thee" Mongiardo tries to out Republican them. Kind of a Ben Chandler technique. So far the brainiest of the whole bunch from a Liberal Progressive perspective seems to be Jack Conway, so far anyway, at least he's not brown-nosing the teabaggers and Palin(yet).

Republicans In Libertarian Clothing

In my early years of political development I flirted briefly with the Libertarian party. I knew I would never be a Republican, and it didn't take me long to realize I wasn't a Libertarian either. Right now Republicans, Teabaggers, etc, are trying hard to find different labels for the same old rightwinger philosophy:

What Conservatives Mean When They Say "Libertarian"

Breaking Away From Hell's Kitchen And Thinking About Wet "Teabaggers"

I think I'm about done with "Hell's Kitchen". It's been an interesting(like the old Chinese curse) experience but I'm almost done with massive food service work. Looks strongly like I may have another job. Hopefully not as new and as horrific.
The Networks were in orgasm today over the Glenn Beck and "Toon" Palin(Oh you know they are) teabaggers.
Well here's a few things everyboy knows, unless of course you're in the old(white folks) spastic corporate "News" on my teevee. Then you can't see beyond your limo.

As the Times’s new poll numbers amply confirm — especially the ones establishing that the Tea Partiers are overwhelming Republican or right-of-Republican — they are the same angry, ill-informed, overwhelmingly white, crypto-corporate paranoiacs that accompany every ascendancy of liberalism within U.S. government.

The pre-Teabagger teabagger.

And today's even more hostile version:

When they lose they stage a national hissy fit of epic proportions and persuade the Village (where they are perceived as the personification of the heartland of America) that they are something very important. Now that they have their very own TV and radio networks featuring crazed right wing demagogues 24/7, they are more successful on those terms than ever. But they are nothing new, nothing new at all. They are mostly a bunch of cranky, white men with money who are trying desperately to hang on to their privileges. Same as it ever was.

They are what we have called "Republicans" for at least the last 30 years."

Another reason I still miss "Media Whores Online". Night Y'all...
Here's some counter protestors having some fun:

Funny Pics, And The Loneliness of the Food Service Industry

The Food Service Industry has kicked my butt. One of the absolute worst weeks of my life. Hard, complicated, unappreciated work. I may be getting another job with ACS, have to wait a few days to see. Even ACS will be a relief from the food service industry, or at least the high volume, seven day a week, 5 dining room, three meals a day service where I'm at.
Anyhow, here's a late funny. With the always hilarious Michele Bachmann as punchline...

I'm still alive surfers and getting online as I can. Blogging a moment while I can. Someday, someday, someday I'll record more trivia as time allows...:-)

Hard Jobs, New Careers, and World of Warcraft Lingo Kid

Hello World(to the tune of "Hello Walls")...

I've been working 12pm~8:30pm every day for a week. Little time left for doing much of anything else. A frighteningly complicated new job I have with the state of Kentucky in a veteran's nursing home. "Food service" of all things, frighteningly complicated, high volume; 3 meal a day, 7 days a week for more than 280 old folks. 2 menu choices with a chopped version and a "pureed" version for people who can't take solids(you haven't lived till you've seen pureed bread, pureed cookies, etc). Anyway, like I said high volume meal prep. I'm in an alien career holding pattern while desperately looking for another "office job". I've spent 30 years working a job as a computer/drafter and "office specialist". While still looking(desperately)for another, I'm now forced to learn a completely alien career bottom up at the young age of 56.
As you can imagine I haven't been sleeping well...No time for Blogging, or even much Internet... but we're surviving here. The job's got good benefits and merit so I can have dibs on other jobs in the system, NOT just food service jobs, if I don't find another job before then or if I can last 6 months at it.
I'm OFF work tomorrow, so I can relax a bit, pretend I got a buzz, surf, and play World of Warcraft!!! YEAH BABEE!!
Hope your world is well. the little time I've been online each day has been Progressive news, just trying to keep up on it, and playing WoW, of course.
In the orientation for this state of Kentucky job that I now have I met another WoW fiend. We started talking about it during a break. He has "4 level 80's and a death knight". I have 6 characters but the highest is only fifty.
Today my trainer and I were walking through a dining room and WoW fiend Daren was helping some residents at a table. As we walked by I sort of leaned over towards Daren and the conversation then went like this:

Me: "Hey Daren, three Horde attacked Stormwind City this morning
Daren: (laughs)Really?
Me: "Yeah, this morning, my 36 Mage got wasted pretty quick(laugh). They were finally killed but did a ton of damage, dead gaurds and players. Fun to see though. There was a mass of high level guards and Alliance on them. Finally brought 'em down. Time I made it back from the graveyard they were all dead.
Daren: Was one of them a Pally? They are TOUGH!
Me: Not sure. Probably, I died to quick(another laugh)"

That last was said as my trainer and I got on the elevator. Afterwards I wondered what my trainer, others nearby and (especially)the residents thought of our little conversation.
Anyways, gonna read some news, I know there isn't one offering me office jobs(Sob) but I'll check my email anyway and then play some WoW.
Good night world, have a safe weekend.
Take care of each other and only die online..

Just for chuckles and to post a pic here's "human Pally, Gentry";

Night all..

"Are you scared Ron?"
-Said to me by a girl co-worker tonight who may have been doing this kind of work her whole life.

Saturday's Video | John Prine

Evening Peeps. Long time no post. I'm back in job world again, and time passes SO fast. Speaking of which here's John Prine from a bygone age of 1980 with "Bruised Orange". There's a bonus with a brief introduction to the song from John himself:
