NYPD's Corporate Police?

Things Brian Williams(etc.), won't tell you.

In the wake of the mass arrest of anti-Wall Street protesters, a donation of $4.6million that JPMorgan Chase made to the New York City Police Foundation is getting renewed attention online, including on Occupy Wall St.'s website. According to the major bank's website, the gift was "the largest in the history of the foundation and will enable the New York City Police Department to strengthen security in the Big Apple.

Oh Noes, World Class Auto Superstore Open Again!

Bad news for people looking for an honest deal for a car. World Class Auto Super(crooks)store in Nicholasville KY appears to be open again.

Their lot has been empty for a long time due to legal actions by the state attorney's office. Because, well, because they were crooks. As I drove by there yesterday going to work it was full of cars. So be beware car shoppers! If you MUST go there looking for a deal. Be prepared, have your best anti-crooks armour up. Triple check your paperwork, walk out and think over ANY deal, at least overnight. I'm sure these guys haven't changed in the least. Go here, here, here and even here...
Goodluck. And if you can go somewhere else do so..

Note: That isn't one of their guys but(IMO) he fits them perfectly.

Update: Drove by again today and noted that the dealership is opening under a different name, "Auto Plaza" or something like that. I'd almost bet the same crooks will still be the owners.

One Man Who Died On BP Rig Wrote Will On Last Visit Home

Jason Anderson one of the Deepwater Horizon crew members was so worried about safety on the oil rig, he wrote his will on his last visit home.

The Transocean CEO which was owner of the Deepwater Horizen oil rig which exploded looks like a fine piece of corporate barracuda.

The Transocean CEO sat in the Anderson kitchen and told Shelly how he would take care of her family. But even before the memorial service could take place, Transocean went to court to limit their overall damages.

Obama To Out-Republican the Republicans?

As a Digby reader succinctly put it, "this will be a nice F*ck you to everyone that voted for him"

The White House's boldly Republican economic plan:
Cutting Social Security and raising the age limit, a new Value Added Tax (VAT), and White House officials would cut the corporate income tax.

OMFG

Ted Stevens Guilty!

On all 7 counts!

I saw a clip this evening of "Church Lady" Palin bad mouthing Stevens. Didn't take long for the "Barracuda" to start ripping his flesh did it? Of course she didn't call for his resignation.

McCain's Campaign | More Lobbyist Shenanigans

Well, well, isn't this getting interesting. If I felt better I'd get the popcorn.

"WASHINGTON — One of the giant mortgage companies at the heart of the credit crisis paid $15,000 a month from the end of 2005 through last month to a firm owned by Senator John McCain’s campaign manager, according to two people with direct knowledge of the arrangement. The disclosure undercuts a statement by Mr. McCain on Sunday night that the campaign manager, Rick Davis, had had no involvement with the company for the last several years."

A New Meaning To Drill! Drill! Drill!

"Government officials handling billions of dollars in oil royalties partied, had sex with and accepted golf and ski outings from employees of energy companies they were dealing with, federal investigators said Wednesday..."

The reports portray a dysfunctional organization that has been riddled with conflicts of interest, unprofessional behavior and a free-for-all atmosphere for much of the Bush administration’s watch.

In this administration? WOW, who woulda thunk it!?

Sarah's Escapades

This woman is like a female energizer bunny of sneaky. Here's 2 of the latest of what would undoubtedly be the day's headlines in a parallel universe where the "News" media does NEWS.

Governor Palin did "official state business" on a private email account ala the Bush crime family. Said emails being the ones they're refusing to turn over to investigators

A top Palin law enforcement officer in Alaska may move to block investigation in Palin's Alaska troopergate

Someone said Sarah Palin was George W. Bush in a wig. Apparently they're right. The stories keep coming out and the corporate media increasingly treats Palin and her family like Brittany Spears and Paris Hilton celebrities.
