The Myth Of The Surge

Rolling Stone has a good article up online about dubya's escalationsurge. Some of us already knew what the "surge" would accomplish.When you stop paying insurgents blood money they'll turn on you. The escalationsurge was doomed to fail. You simply CANNOT occupy a country while fighting a swarm of well armed guerrillas/insurgents. Much less when that swarmof fighters is divided into smaller swarms determined to kill each other and you.
