Surprise! Mitch McConnell Shilling for the Super Rich, Again

Wow, who woulda thunk it. Bush's main man in Kentucky Sen. Mitch "Mo Money" McConnell(R, corrupt) is all for giving more huge tax breaks to the wealthiest of the wealthy here in Kentucky:

WASHINGTON --Sen. Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., has re-introduced a multimillion-dollar tax break for racehorse owners that could cost taxpayers more than a quarter of a billion dollars over five years.
The "Equine Equity Act" would reduce from two years to one year the time an owner would have to hold a racehorse before it would be eligible for the capital gains tax rate at sale. The bill would also allow all racehorses to be depreciated over three years; some now are depreciated over seven.
Similar legislation introduced in 2005 would have cut horse owners' taxes by an estimated $18 million over one year and up to $267 million over five years, according to McConnell's office. Congressional officials have not yet produced an estimate for 2007.

I wonder why Mitch keeps whoring for the already wealthy? There has to be some reason that he..er..Ooh...I see, nevermind:
The National Thoroughbred Racing Association's Horse PAC is lobbying for the break. In 2006, after McConnell first introduced the legislation, Horse PAC gave McConnell and his political action committees a combined $22,500, more than it gave any other lawmaker. Co-sponsors of Monday's bill, Sen. Jim Bunning, R-Ky., and Sen. Blanche Lincoln, D-Ark., also received $5,000 each for their federal leadership PACs last year, according to Horse PAC's 2006 annual report.

Maybe there's a solution to Mitch.
