Rep. Frank says he'll file bill to legalize marijuana

BOSTON—Rep. Barney Frank said he plans to file a bill to legalize "small amounts" of marijuana.

Frank announced his plans late Friday on the HBO show "Real Time," hosted by Bill Maher.

Hey Dean,

I tried to send you an email, but it got bounced back. So, here it is:

I just discovered your blog, Out of the Mountains. I dig it. I don't know why it took me so long to find it--I try to stay on top of things in the KY political blogosphere. Anyway, I'm going to tell our community at BlueGrassRoots about Out of the Mountains tomorrow morning. I hope that will help get more eyes on the excellent work you're doing here.

I want to encourage you to cross-post some of your stuff at BlueGrassRoots. We have found that cross-posting helps our readers discover the increasingly vibrant community of websites covering Kentucky politics, and it may drive some more traffic your way. If you are interested, just go to www.bluegrassroots.org, sign up for an account, and start creating diaries. Make sure you link to Out of the Mountains in the post so people know where to go for more of your goodness.

Keep up the good work,
Ben

Well hey Ben
Thanks for the kind words. My lil' Blog here is just a small sideline hobby of mine. If you've read it back far enough you'll find a few whining posts about how little time I have to tend to it. It's just a place to through up things that interest me at any given time when I can. Given time and talent I'd give it a much better look and many more posts but we do what we can.
I may take you up on your offer for a BluegrassRoots appearance(given the time). I've had BGR linked on my site for quite a while and I'm a frequent visitor there, and at it's cousin Political Report(also linked). I suspect most of my readers are drop-bys who are following a link from somewhere else or just surfing through from a Google link, etc. O of TM has been around for a couple of years and I enjoy the Blogging when I can give it my attention, and it keeps me away from the tv and the video games:-)
Thanks again for the attention and the kind words. Oh, and it sounds like I need to check my Blooger email address.
